What We Do

Comprehensive Care
for Every Pet

Dogs, cats, and small animals. From first vaccines to senior care. All under one roof with doctors who know your pet personally.

Preventive Care

Wellness & Preventive Medicine

The most important veterinary appointments are the routine ones. Annual wellness exams catch problems before they become emergencies — and cost a fraction of the treatment that follows them.

🩺

Annual Wellness Exam

Head-to-tail physical examination with Dr. Santos or Dr. Okafor. We assess every body system, discuss changes since the last visit, and make a plan for the year ahead. The foundation of good pet health.

  • Full physical examination
  • Parasite check
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Behavior discussion
  • Vaccine update if needed
💉

Vaccinations

Core vaccines for all dogs and cats. Lifestyle vaccines based on actual exposure risk — we don't over-vaccinate, but we ensure every pet is protected from what they could realistically encounter.

  • Dogs: Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Lyme
  • Cats: Rabies, FVRCP, FeLV (indoor/outdoor)
  • Risk-based approach — not one-size protocol
🦟

Parasite Prevention

Flea, tick, heartworm, and intestinal parasite prevention — year-round in our climate. We test annually for heartworm and recommend prevention based on your pet's lifestyle and exposure.

  • Heartworm testing and prevention
  • Flea and tick control
  • Intestinal parasite screening
👴

Senior Wellness Program

Pets age faster than people. A dog over 7 is entering their senior years and benefits from twice-yearly exams and bloodwork that catches organ decline early when it's still manageable.

  • Every-6-month exam for seniors 7+
  • Senior bloodwork panel
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Mobility and pain assessment
Dental Health

Veterinary Dentistry

Did you know? 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have some degree of dental disease by age 3. Most owners don't know because pets hide dental pain instinctively. A dental cleaning often adds years to a pet's life by eliminating chronic infection and inflammation.
🦷

Professional Dental Cleaning

Performed under general anesthesia for patient safety and thoroughness. Includes digital dental X-rays, ultrasonic scaling above and below the gumline, polishing, and charting of every tooth. The same standard your own dentist uses.

  • Full mouth digital X-rays (every tooth)
  • Anesthesia with full monitoring
  • Ultrasonic scaling above and below gumline
  • Same-day results and discharge
🪥

Tooth Extractions

When a tooth is diseased beyond saving, extraction eliminates the chronic pain and infection source. Most pets eat normally the same evening after extractions — the relief is often immediate and significant.

  • Dental blocks (local anesthesia) for every extraction
  • Dissolvable sutures — no removal needed
  • Post-op pain management included
Surgery

Soft Tissue Surgery

All surgical procedures are performed by Dr. Maya Santos personally with board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist oversight. Full monitoring: ECG, pulse ox, blood pressure, and temperature throughout every procedure.

✂️

Spay & Neuter

Routine surgical sterilization for dogs and cats. We perform traditional and minimally invasive (laparoscopic spay for dogs) techniques. All procedures include pre-surgical bloodwork.

🔪

Mass Removals

Skin masses, internal masses, and biopsies. Lumps are common — many are benign, some are not. We send all removed tissue to the pathologist for definitive diagnosis.

🩹

Laceration & Wound Repair

Lacerations, bite wounds, and traumatic injuries repaired under appropriate sedation or anesthesia. Same-day surgery available for urgent wound cases.

Urgent Care

When It Can't Wait

🚨

Same-Day Urgent Appointments

We hold urgent care spots every day for pets who are sick, injured, or just not right. Call us first — if we can see your pet today, we will. If it's a true emergency beyond our scope, we'll stabilize and direct you to an emergency hospital.

  • Vomiting or diarrhea for 24+ hours
  • Limping or sudden lameness
  • Wound or bite injury
  • Eye discharge or redness
  • Straining to urinate (cats: emergency)
🏥

In-House Diagnostics for Fast Answers

When your pet is sick, waiting 24 hours for lab results isn't acceptable. Our in-house lab processes blood work, urinalysis, and fecal tests in minutes — so we can start treatment the same visit.

  • Complete blood count in 20 minutes
  • Chemistry panel in 20 minutes
  • Urinalysis same visit
  • Digital X-ray for trauma assessment

Your Pet Is Waiting

New patients welcome. Same-week appointments usually available. Most pet insurance accepted.
