Dr. Chen graduated summa cum laude from Johns Hopkins University before completing medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her general surgery residency at NYU Langone and her plastic surgery fellowship at the same institution — one of the most competitive training programs in the country.
She opened Elara after 8 years at a large academic plastic surgery practice, where she served as the rhinoplasty program director. She left to build a practice with a different philosophy: fewer patients, more time per consultation, better results.
