Sunrise Family Dentistry was founded on a simple belief: every patient deserves honest, compassionate, high-quality dental care in a place they feel genuinely comfortable.
Dr. Mitchell grew up in Springfield and always wanted to practice where she grew up. After completing her dental degree at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry — graduating with honors in 2006 — she completed an advanced residency in cosmetic and restorative dentistry before returning home to open Sunrise.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and has completed over 400 hours of continuing education in implants, Invisalign, and aesthetic dentistry.
"I went into dentistry because my childhood dentist changed my life. He made me feel safe when I was terrified. I want to be that for every patient who walks through my door."

Every decision in this practice comes back to three commitments we made when we opened — and have never compromised on.
We only recommend treatment that is clinically necessary and in your best interest. We will always show you your X-rays and explain exactly what we see and why we're recommending what we are.
If you feel anything during a procedure, raise your hand and we stop. No patient at Sunrise has ever been pushed through discomfort. We use topical anesthetic, warm anesthetic, and slow injection technique as standard.
Before any treatment, you receive a written treatment plan with exact costs. Your insurance is applied and you know exactly what you'll pay before we begin. No codes billed without explanation.
New patients welcome. Book online or give us a call — we'll take care of the rest.
